          What is islam? what kind of religion is Islam? probably many of my friends are wondering about Islam. Islam is one of the greatest religions in the world. Islam is often misunderstood, especially with identified with Muslims, Islam and Muslims are two different terms. Islam is a religion Muslims are adherents. Islam is often identified with the behavior of Muslims or Muslims.

               Islam is a religion that God revealed to the Prophet Muhammad as a prophet and Messenger on to become sailors living around human until the end of time. Islam is an Arabic word that means surrender of self to God. The religion believe in one God (ALLAH SWT).

                In the Qur'an, Islam mentioned also the religion of allah :

"Then if they find another religion of God, and to him that surrender yourself (aslama) everything what is in the heavens and on Earth, whether with love or forced to and only to Allaah they returned." (QS. Ali Imran [3]: 83).

The Deen (religion) itself in the Quran meaning of religion (QS 3:83), obedience (QS 16:52), and worship (Qur'an 40:65).

             Understanding Islam in the language it means peaceful, Merry, are subject to, and clean. From an understanding of Islam in this language can be inferred, Islam is a religion that brings salvation to living in the world and in the hereafter (life after death). Islam religion teaches his followers or believers (Muslims/Islam) to spread safety and peace. Among other things reflected in the readings of the prayer--as the main worship--namely the prayer of salvation greeting "Assalamualaikum warohmatullah" (السَّلاَمُ الله وَرَحْمَةُ عَلَيْكُمْ)--hope of salvation and the compassion of God delegated to you--as a cover the prayer.              In the term also, Islam is a religion on God revealed to the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him as Prophet and Messenger of God (the Messenger) on to the human race, taking place of all time, source of the Qur'an and As-Sunnah and Ijma Scholars
